We aim to provide accurate product information, specifications, photographs and safety information. However, product specifications, colours, designs, dimensions and features may change from time to time where permitted by the manufacturer and applicable law.
Where a product is manufactured or supplied by a third party, the manufacturer’s instructions, specifications, warnings and recommendations also apply.
2. Using Our Website
You agree to use this website lawfully and not to:

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, dimensions, photographs, specifications and other information displayed on our website are accurate.
However, manufacturers may change products, specifications, packaging or designs from time to time.
Minor differences in colour, finish, appearance or packaging may occur between website images and the physical product.
Where dimensions, weights, load ratings or technical specifications are important to your purchase, you should check the manufacturer’s current specifications and contact us before ordering if you require clarification.
You are responsible for determining whether a product is suitable for your intended application, vehicle, roof-rack system, equipment and circumstances, subject always to any representations or guarantees made by us and your rights under the ACL.
4. Pricing
All prices are displayed in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise.
We take reasonable care to ensure that prices and product listings are accurate. If an obvious pricing, typographical or listing error occurs, we may contact you to explain the error and discuss the available options before fulfilling the order.

If we cannot supply a product that you have paid for, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law.
6. ROOF-TOP TENT, LADDER & EQUIPMENT SAFETY
6.1 Read the Instructions
Roof-top tents, ladders, mounting systems and associated equipment can involve significant height, weight and physical safety risks if they are installed or used incorrectly.
You must read and follow all manufacturer instructions, warnings and safety information before installing or using any product.
If you are unsure about installation or safe use, you should obtain assistance from a suitably qualified or experienced person.
6.2 Vehicle and Roof-Rack Suitability
Before purchasing or installing a roof-top tent or related equipment, you should ensure that:
- your vehicle is suitable for the product;
- your roof-rack or mounting system is suitable for the product;
- the applicable dynamic and static load ratings are not exceeded;
- mounting points and hardware are compatible;
- the manufacturer’s requirements are followed; and
- installation does not compromise the safe operation of your vehicle.
Vehicle manufacturers and roof-rack manufacturers may specify different load limits for driving and stationary use.
Do not assume that the maximum static load is the same as the maximum dynamic load.
If you are uncertain about compatibility or load limits, contact the relevant vehicle, roof-rack or product manufacturer or obtain appropriate professional advice before installation.
6.3 Installation
Products must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
You should ensure that:
- mounting hardware is correctly fitted;
- all fasteners are tightened as specified by the manufacturer;
- mounting systems are properly secured;
- the product is correctly positioned;
- the installation is checked before use;
- the installation remains secure during use; and
- the product is periodically inspected in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
If a product is damaged, loose, incorrectly installed or otherwise appears unsafe, do not use it until the issue has been properly assessed and rectified.
7. Ladder Safety
Ladders supplied with or used in connection with roof-top tents must be used only in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and rated capacity.
Before climbing a ladder, you should ensure that:
- the ladder is correctly attached or positioned;
- the ladder is fully deployed where required;
- the ladder is stable and properly supported;
- the vehicle and tent are positioned on suitable ground;
- the ladder and its attachment points are free from visible damage;
- the applicable weight rating is not exceeded; and
- children are supervised where appropriate.
Do not:
- climb a damaged or unstable ladder;
- exceed the manufacturer’s weight rating;
- jump onto or off the ladder;
- use the ladder for purposes for which it was not designed;
- modify the ladder without appropriate manufacturer approval; or
- use the ladder where environmental conditions make doing so unsafe.
8. Weather and Environmental Conditions
Roof-top tents and camping equipment must be used with consideration for weather and environmental conditions.
Strong winds, storms, lightning, flooding, unstable ground, extreme weather and other environmental conditions may create hazards.
You are responsible for assessing conditions before and during use and for following the manufacturer’s recommendations.
If conditions become unsafe, discontinue use and take appropriate action to protect people and property.
9. Children
Roof-top tents, ladders and elevated camping equipment can present particular risks to children.
Children must be appropriately supervised and must not be permitted to use equipment contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions or applicable safety warnings.
10. Modifications and Alterations
Unauthorised modifications, drilling, cutting or other alterations to a product may affect its structural integrity, safety, warranty or intended operation.
You should not modify a product unless the manufacturer expressly permits the modification or appropriate professional advice confirms that it is safe and suitable.
Nothing in this section excludes any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.
11. Customer Responsibility for Safe Use
You acknowledge that camping equipment, roof-top tents, ladders and vehicle-mounted equipment must be used responsibly and in accordance with applicable instructions and safety requirements.
You are responsible for:
- reading product instructions;
- following safety warnings;
- using products only for their intended purpose;
- ensuring correct installation;
- checking equipment before use;
- observing applicable weight and load limits;

- stopping use where equipment appears damaged, defective or unsafe.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under the ACL.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mickagear is not responsible for loss or damage to the extent it results from:
- misuse of a product;
- use contrary to manufacturer instructions;
- incorrect installation;
- installation by an unqualified or unsuitable person where professional installation was reasonably required;
- exceeding specified load or weight limits;
- unauthorised modification;
- continued use of equipment that is damaged or unsafe after the customer becomes aware, or ought reasonably to become aware, of the issue;
- use outside the product’s intended purpose; or
- failure to follow applicable safety warnings or instructions.
This section does not exclude or limit liability for a failure, defect, act or omission for which Mickagear is legally responsible.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any liability, consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
Where the law permits a limitation of liability, our liability will be limited only to the extent permitted by law.
13. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in these Terms affects those rights.
14. Third-Party Manufacturers and Suppliers
Some products sold through Mickagear are manufactured or supplied by third parties.
Manufacturer warranties, instructions and specifications may apply in addition to your rights against Mickagear under Australian law.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, security or privacy practices of third-party websites that we do not control.
Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
18. Website Availability and Errors
We do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or free from errors.
