MICKAGEAR — SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how Mickagear processes and delivers orders within Australia.
Delivery arrangements may vary depending on the product, destination, size, weight and freight provider.
1. Order Processing
Orders are normally processed after payment has been successfully received.
Processing times may vary depending on:
- Product availability.
- Whether the product is in stock in Australia.
- Supplier availability.
- Order volume.
- Weekends and public holidays.
- Freight arrangements.
- Whether the product is supplied directly from a manufacturer, supplier or warehouse.
Where a product has a specific estimated dispatch or delivery timeframe, that timeframe will be communicated on the relevant product page or during the ordering process where practicable.
2. Delivery Estimates
Any delivery timeframe displayed on our website is an estimate unless expressly stated otherwise.
Delivery times may be affected by:
- Courier or freight delays.
- Weather and transport disruptions.
- Public holidays and peak periods.
- Remote locations.
- Supplier delays.
- Customs or import processes, where applicable.
- Circumstances outside Mickagear’s reasonable control.
We will take reasonable steps to keep customers informed where we become aware of significant delays.
Nothing in this section limits a customer’s rights under Australian Consumer Law.
3. Roof-Top Tent Freight
Roof-top tents are large and heavy products and may require specialised freight services rather than standard parcel delivery.
Delivery arrangements may therefore differ from smaller accessories and camping products.
Depending on the destination and freight service, delivery may be:
- To a residential address.
- To a business address.
- To a freight depot.
- Kerbside.
- Subject to special access requirements.
- Subject to additional freight charges.
The applicable delivery arrangements and any additional charges will be communicated before or during the ordering process where practicable.
Customers should ensure that the nominated delivery address is suitable for receiving large or heavy freight.
4. Remote and Regional Areas
Additional freight charges or delivery restrictions may apply to remote, rural or difficult-to-access locations.
Where an additional freight charge cannot be calculated at checkout, Mickagear will advise the customer of the charge and obtain their agreement before proceeding with the order or dispatching the goods.
If the customer does not agree to the additional charge, Mickagear will discuss the available options with them, including cancellation and a refund where applicable under Australian Consumer Law.
5. Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address.
This should include:
- Street number and street name.
- Suburb, state and postcode.
- Business name, where applicable.
- Any relevant delivery instructions.
Mickagear is not responsible for delays caused by an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer.
Where a shipment must be redirected because incorrect information was supplied, additional charges may apply where reasonable, disclosed and permitted by law.
6. Delivery Access
Customers ordering large or heavy products must ensure that the nominated delivery location can reasonably accommodate the freight vehicle and delivery.
Customers should consider:
- Narrow streets.
- Low bridges.
- Restricted vehicle access.
- Steep driveways.
- Gates and overhead obstructions.
- Apartment access.
- Loading restrictions.
- Other access limitations.
Where appropriate, delivery may need to be made to the nearest suitable accessible location or freight depot. Any relevant alternative arrangements will be communicated where practicable.
7. Tracking
Where tracking is available, Mickagear will provide tracking information when reasonably practicable.
Once tracking information has been provided, customers may be able to monitor the shipment directly through the relevant freight provider.
Tracking information may not update immediately after dispatch.
8. Missed Deliveries
If a delivery cannot be completed because nobody is available, access is unavailable or the freight provider cannot safely complete delivery, the carrier may:
- Leave a delivery notification.
- Arrange another delivery attempt.
- Hold the goods at a depot.
- Contact the customer to arrange delivery.
Any additional charges resulting from circumstances within the customer’s control will be communicated where practicable and may be payable by the customer where reasonable and permitted by law.
9. Authority to Leave
Authority-to-leave arrangements may not be appropriate for large, valuable or heavy products.
Where authority to leave is available, the customer is responsible for selecting that option and providing suitable delivery instructions.
For high-value products, customers should consider arranging delivery to a secure location where someone can receive the goods.
Nothing in this section affects Mickagear’s legal obligations where responsibility for loss or damage remains with Mickagear.
10. Inspecting Your Delivery
Customers should inspect deliveries as soon as reasonably practicable.
For roof-top tents and other large products, inspect the external packaging before signing for delivery where possible.
If there is visible damage:
- Photograph the packaging.
- Photograph the shipping label.
- Photograph the damage.
- Note the damage with the carrier where possible.
- Contact Mickagear promptly.
Please retain damaged packaging until Mickagear advises whether it is still required.
11. Damage in Transit
If a product arrives damaged, contact Mickagear as soon as reasonably practicable.
We may request photographs or other information to assist with assessing the damage and investigating the freight claim.
Where a product has a problem for which Mickagear is responsible, we will provide the remedy required under Australian Consumer Law.
Customers will not be required to surrender their statutory consumer rights simply because a freight claim is being investigated.
12. Lost Deliveries
If tracking indicates that an order has not been delivered, please contact Mickagear.
We will investigate the shipment with the relevant carrier and take appropriate steps to resolve the issue.
Where Mickagear remains responsible for the goods under applicable law, we will provide the appropriate remedy.
13. Delays Outside Our Control
Delivery delays may occur because of circumstances genuinely outside Mickagear’s reasonable control, including major transport disruptions, natural disasters, severe weather, industrial action, government restrictions and infrastructure failures.
We will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and keep customers informed.
This section does not exclude or limit any rights or remedies available to customers under Australian Consumer Law.
14. International Shipping
Unless expressly stated on the relevant product page, Mickagear currently ships only within Australia.
If international shipping becomes available, separate terms may apply, including customs, duties, taxes and import requirements.
15. Freight Charges
Shipping and freight charges will be displayed or communicated during the ordering process where practicable.
Large or heavy products may have different freight charges from standard-sized products.
Where a freight charge cannot reasonably be calculated until the delivery address is known, Mickagear will communicate the applicable freight cost and obtain the customer’s agreement before proceeding with the order or dispatching the goods.
Any additional charges will be disclosed before the customer is committed to paying them.
